Hi, I'm Kelvin Crosby!
Kelvin Crosby’s life has been a remarkable journey shaped by the challenges of Usher Syndrome, which has robbed him of both hearing and sight. As these senses diminished, so did his sense of hope, leading him down a dark path filled with despair. At times, the thought of ending it all seemed like a viable escape. But just when he was about to give up, Kelvin found a glimmer of hope in his faith in Jesus Christ. This hope became his lifeline, guiding him away from the abyss and encouraging him to embrace joy in every moment. By transforming his suffering into a source of strength, Kelvin not only reclaims his life but also inspires countless others to find their own joy and purpose, no matter the obstacles they face
What Does Kelvin See?
Today, Kelvin Crosby sees the world through a haze, as if peering through a straw wrapped in wax paper. The vivid colors around him have become muted, and the shapes he perceives are little more than vague outlines. With details lost to him, Kelvin relies on his white cane to guide him. It’s more than just a tool for navigation; it’s a symbol of his determination to face each day, reminding him that despite the fog, he can still find his way.

Rejoicing in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
Kelvin lives by these verses everyday and wants to show you how to have joy, even in your suffering. His drive to help others — especially those with their own disabilities — is the the defining characteristic that makes people want to meet him, listen to him, and join with him in overcoming the challenges of life with joy and courage.
